Football Administration and Management Course Level One (FAMACO1), organised by the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) in conjunction with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) commenced on Thursday at the Buganda Royal Institute – Mengo, Kampala and will run until Saturday December 13, 2025.

In total, 45 participants from the eight FUFA football regions, South Sudan and Kenya embarked on the course which is designed to develop football management skills and provide participants with the latest management techniques and administration practices.

The three day course generally intends to keep the participants within touch of the dynamic world of sports by equipping them with knowledge that suits the modern new trends.

Experienced facilitators – Decolas Kiiza and Lordson Alleluya are the leading instructors, and they will take the participants through a host of important course modules that include; Sport governance (Structure of sports in Uganda), FUFA and its development programs, FUFA relationship with stakeholders, Getting involved (roles and responsibilities), Technical Master Plan (TMT) – mass football and elite Football, introduction to football facilities, FUFA safeguarding, football protection, football revenue generation and expenditure, and branding and visibility for associations and clubs.

The course was officially opened by FUFA Executive Committee Member – Ronnie Kalema.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Mr.Kalema, clad in his elegant blue executive suit, briefed the class about the modern ways of governing the sport, gave an insight into the Technical Master Plan (TMP) that was launched by FUFA in 2023, and also reiterated FUFA’s vision of becoming the number one football nation in Africa on and off the pitch.
