Coach Ssebagala received the three match touchline ban today for inciting his players to act against the referees after their 7-4 loss to Mutoola BSC last Sunday.
“Upon analysis of the relevant facts as well as analysis of the match report, the CDP established that Mr. Ssebagala Tony indeed incited players of Buganda Royal against the referee. For his actions he was given a red card by the referee,” an excerpt from the CDP’s ruling read in part.
“Mr. Ssebagala Tony as one of the coaches on the team has an example to set to his own players and staff and to the general spectators,” the panel further noted.
“Having taken into consideration all the above, Mr. Ssebagala Tony is sanctioned with an additional one match suspension on top of the suspension arising from the red card received,” the CDP ruled.
As for Paul Lule, the experienced player was sanctioned for using abusive language towards the referee.

“Consequently, the Player Lule Paul is sanctioned with an additional one match suspension on top of the suspension arising from the red card received.”
This means the coach and the player will miss Buganda Royal’s matches against Kampala Junior Team (KJT), Wolves, and Grace Church.
Buganda Royal is eighth on the table with three points having lost four of their five matches this campaign.

The league action provided its fair share of excitement as the teams put-up eye-catching performances on Sunday.
St. Lawrence maintained their perfect start to the season, showing no sign of declining in form and showing charisma in games against Grace Church and Kiringente to accumulate 15 points and move to the top of table after five matches.

Brian Nkuubi appeared in the third period with a hat trick to relieve his side from pressure while Lukooya also completed his hat trick. Grace Church scored two more goals later through Steven Kitumba and Babu Mulani but it was already game over for them.
Kiringente BSC 1- 4 St. Lawrence
For the first time after a long while, St. Lawrence were seen uncomfortable on the pitch at the beginning of this game.
They looked nervous after Marvin Mugerwa’s opener for Kiringente but they re-organized, took control of the game and produced four goals – coming from Joshua Lubwama (2), Jonathan Kikonyogo and Baker Lukooya to walk away with all the three points.
MUBS 6-1 Wolves
MUBS have made their loss to Mutoola a distant memory after winning three games on the bounce. They defeated Wolves and Grace Church on Sunday to move to the fourth place with nine points.
Munir Saidi dazzled with a hat trick, Douglas Muganga and Swaibu Kakwaya saw the net once each, while their side was also a beneficiary of Farouk Kawuma’s own goal.
Wolves refused to sink without a reply and they indeed got their consolation through Albert Olwenyi.

The FUFA beach soccer league takes center stage again this Sunday featuring five fixtures as beach soccer action return to Mutoola resort beach in Mukono.
St Lawrence come into the games knowing that they will march to the summit of the table if they are victorious against Grace Church and Kiringente given that leaders Jinja Lions and Mutoola BSC are not on the fixture this weekend.
They are the only perfect team so far with three wins in as many games, sitting third on the table with nine points, just three behind the pace setters who have played two games more.
Opponent goes bare knuckles on Baker Lukooya of St. Lawrence
Kiringente tally six points from four matches in the fourth place while Grace Church are ninth with one point.
In the other matches, MUBS will aim to surge up the log when they face Wolves and Grace Church.

Grace Church and Wolves are the only sides yet to win a game this campaign and they are separated by goal difference, ranking 9th and 10th respectively with one point each.
MS Sand Lions will complete the schedule of the fifth outing with a meeting with Wolves.
The fourth outing of the FUFA beach soccer league emphasized the apparent gulf in strength between defending champions St. Lawrence University and the other teams in the league.
Arriving at FUFA technical center in fifth place on a cold Sunday, St. Lawrence brought Mutoola’s unbeaten run to an end before they humbled Buganda Royal to shoot up to third on the table with nine points after three matches.
Jinja Lions responded well to their short comings last time with two important wins over Kampala Junior Team and Wolves to hit the top with 12 points, while Kiringente BSC beat KJT to record their second victory this season.

Ochero added a second in the second period before Brian Nkuubi and Rica Byaruhanga scored a goal each to put St. Lawrence 4 – 0 up in the third.
Mutoola battled to try and bring themselves back in the game. Simon Peter Kijjo eventually got them a goal but it came deep into the third period, it was too late to have any impact on the result as his side lost their first game of the campaign.
St. Lawrence BSC 6 – 1 Buganda Royal

It was a routine win and an easy ride for St. Lawrence just when some people thought Buganda Royal would pose some resistance this time against the Davis Nnono side. Buganda Royal had lost the previous two meetings between the sides and the story remained the same here.
Tight marking: Baker Lukooya (right) is closed down by an opponent
Baker Lukooya set St. Lawrence rolling with two goals in the first period although Ambrose Kigozi struck for Buganda Royal to reduce the deficit before it ended but it proved to be a mere consolation.

Najib Muwonge and Ashraf Mugumira scored a goal each for the league debutants but their goals were not enough to turn the game into their favor.
The league will resume on march 5, 2023 with five fixtures at Mutoola resort beach in Mukono.
The meeting of defending champions St. Lawrence University and leaders Mutoola BSC, as well as the former’s showdown with Buganda Royal are among the highlights as FUFA beach soccer league enters the fourth outing this Sunday at FUFA technical centre beach soccer arena in Njeru.
St. Lawrence BSC Vs Mutoola BSC
In-form Mutoola will get the fourth outing underway when they come against four-time champions St. Lawrence on Sunday morning.
Mutoola’s Sharif Apuuli has six goals in three matches
They have had a promising start to the season, winning all their opening four games against Grace Church, MUBS, Jinja Lions and MS Sand Lions to assume the summit of the table with 12 points.
But their perfect feat will now be checked by the unforgiving St. Lawrence who will be eager to collect as many points as they can, and as soon as possible to narrow the gap at the top.
Davis Nnono’s side is in fifth position and nine points behind Mutoola having played only one game this season.
St. Lawrence BSC Vs Buganda Royal
After losing their opening two games, pressure piled on Buganda Royal that compelled their experienced coach Tony Ssebagala to return to the touchline the previous outing. They won 5-1 against Kiringente to rise to sixth on the table.
They will be renewing their acquaintances with St. Lawrence later on Sunday.
Unstoppable:Baker Lukooya (in blue) of St Lawrence against Buganda Royal in the super four tourney
The sides’ past two meetings ended with Buganda Royal writhing after two heavy defeats; 9-5 in the league final last year and 10-7 in the UBSA super four beach soccer tournament in mid-January to eventual winners St. Lawrence BSC.
Kampala Junior Team (KJT) Vs Jinja Lions BSC
Debutants KJT have caught everyone by surprise, announcing themselves aloud on the big stage with two resounding wins in three matches to pick up six points, same as their opponents.
Jinja Lions will however want to make their 4-3 humbling by Mutoola last week a distant memory and they will be desperate to deliver the goods this time as the race for the play off positions gains momentum.
Wolves BSC Vs MUBS
It was a false start to the campaign for the two-time league champions – MUBS, losing 3-1 to Mutoola in their opener before beating KJT by the same score in their second match of the season. Coach Kato Adam Juma wishes to use the result as a springboard to relaunch their campaign going forward to restore their pride.
MUBS’ Douglas Muganga (in orange) in a league encounter last season
As for Wolves, their start to the season has not been good either. Following their 4-3 loss to KJT in their opening game was a three all draw against Grace Church. Meaning they have just one point to look at.
Fixtures that will follow will have KJT feature again, against the eighth placed Kiringente while Jinja Lions will also make a second appearance with Wolves in the last showpiece of the day.
Mutoola BSC extended their winning streak on Sunday with wins over Jinja Lions and Ms Sand Lions, while there were first wins of the season for Buganda Royal, MUBS and Kiringente.
Mutoola BSC 4-3 Jinja Lions
Mutoola edged Jinja Lions in the top of the table clash at FUFA technical center beach soccer arena with Paul Nsege’s second goal in the game winning the cagey contest for Mutoola with a few minutes left on the clock.
Jinja Lions came from behind twice to tie the game 3-3 by the third quarter, and by this moment, both teams seemingly looked comfortable with sharing the points until Nsege’s shot bounced off the sand to send Julius Sseguya in the Sand Kings’ goal the wrong way to win it all for his side.
His early strike, Peter Mukwata and Simon Peter Kijjo’s goals had been cancelled out by Shaka Ssozi’s brace and Nicholus Tamale’s goal for Jinja Lions.
Mutoola’s starting five against Jinja Lions
Ms Sand Lions 2-6 Mutoola BSC
In their second game, they eased past MS Sand Lions 6-2 to open up a six point gap at the top.
After four games, Mutoola count twelve (12) points to their name, six better off their immediate followers Jinja Lions and KJT.
Ashraf Apuuli ran to a hat trick, with Oscar Ssendege, Faizal Sekitti and Musa Ssali also scoring a goal each for the Salim Muwonge coached side.
Simon Kizito and Salami Lukwago’s goals for Ms Sand Lions were not enough to turn the game on its head for their side.
Buganda Royal 5-1 Kiringente BSC
Paul Lule (in blue) of Buganda Royal against Kiringente
Buganda Royal swiped down their poor run by winning 5-1 against Kiringente.
They fell to the two Lions – Jinja and Ms Sand in their opening two games but they played better on Sunday and they looked more like the team they were in the previous seasons.
Ambrose Kigozi registered a hat trick in a match where Paul Kato and Hassan Luboyera were also on target. Derrick Jim Ssekulima gave Kiringente some hope with a good finish but the game was already beyond their reach.
MUBS 3-1 Kampala Junior Team (KJT)
Two-time league champions MUBS picked up their first win of the season, beating KJT 3-1. Swaibu Kakwaya’s brace and a goal from Maxwell Okello gave MUBS the advantage over the newbies who scored through Henry Stuart Kafuluma.
A KJT player closes down Douglas Muganga (in orange) of MUBS
Ms Sand Lions 2-5 Kiringente BSC

KJT 2-0 Grace Church
Alvin Ssekiyivu and Sudaisi Kayiira scored a goal each to hand KJT their second win in three matches.
Grace Church 3-3 Wolves
There was also one draw at the weekend, with Grace Church and Wolves settling for a three all stalemate.
Owen Babu, Chris Walito and Owen Ben were there for Grace Church while Farouk Kawuma, Julius Ssentamu and Baptist Male were on target for Wolves.
Action in the league resumes on Sunday of February 26 with six fixtures at FUFA technical center in Njeru with kick off of the first match scheduled at 11am.

It was a routine win and an easy ride for St. Lawrence just when some people thought Buganda Royal would pose some resistance this time against the Davis Nnono side. Buganda Royal had lost the previous two meetings between the sides and the story remained the same here.

Baker Lukooya set St. Lawrence rolling with two goals in the first period although Ambrose Kigozi struck for Buganda Royal to reduce the deficit before it ended but it proved to be a mere consolation.

As for Wolves, their start to the season has not been good either. Following their 4-3 loss to KJT in their opening game was a three all draw against Grace Church. Meaning they have just one point to look at.

Paul Lule (in blue) of Buganda Royal against Kiringente
Buganda Royal swiped down their poor run by winning 5-1 against Kiringente.
